Tanzania is known worldwide as a kingdom of wildlife and has many national parks. The Makonde Plateau, home of the Makonde people, is located on the southern border with Mozambique, and it is said that there are not many animals in this region, but the Makonde carvings are made of many unique, deformed animals.
