Ujamaa

Ujamaa means a group of people, and can refer to a large family, a collective farm, or a workshop, but in sculpture, ujamaa often refers to a family tree. Many people are carved into pillars, and scenes depicting people helping and supporting each other in their daily lives, ancient events, or a chief or head of a family are carved in the upper center of the work.
